Thanks for visiting! I have 20+ years of experience in applied education research and development, with a focus on using technology in effective, developmentally appropriate ways to support teaching and learning. 

I work in partnership with educators, students, families, media producers, businesses, and others to create tools that work in real-world settings, close opportunity gaps, and accommodate a variety of instructional needs. I tap into the assets and needs of students, teachers, and families, and with that knowledge I translate research findings into resources that impact learning and engagement. 

I’ve worked for multiple research organizations – as a Research Scientist at Education Development Center (EDC), and as Director of Research at InnovateEDU. I also have industry experience, having served as an advisor for several startup organizations, and as Director of Partnerships for Vivensity. 

Drawing on these experiences, I established EdTech R&D Consulting to help businesses, research organizations, and education systems use research to guide decisions around product/program development, implementation, partnerships, scaleup, and beyond.
